‘I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe.’ – Roy Batty (Rutger Hauer)
My first ever lip-sync animation. From the options I picked a quote from the movie Blade Runner. I also received an Iron Giant toy thing for ‘guessing’ (google obviously) which movies the quotes are from and who are the actors saying them.
I animated eyes and mouth in TvPaint and I took a footage of the backgrounds in my kitchen using Nikon D750 that I used to use for event photography. I videoed a jar and a gherkin separately to be able to animate a cucumber. Later I composited final animation in After Effects. I found it very interesting and fast process combining footage and drawn animation.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
Thor’s day is one of the two days a week that I have to go to work to earn pounds for rent and bills. If I have any energy left after a long shift, I go to life drawing in the evening. I was really tired that day so I decided to take it easy, have fun and explore.

I bought understanding comics by Scott McCloud about four or five times since 2009. When I lent it to someone, it never seems to come back to me.
Couple of book I bought and I have been reading lately.
We had a body language acting lesson. Then there was a body language animation exercise. I developed this deer character standing on two legs. It took forever, I made the animation way too long. But I did learn a lot during animating it. For the background I used a footage of deer that I took with Nikon D750 and 24-120 f4 zoom lens at Richmond Park. Animation is done in TvPaint and composited in After Effects. I was going to upload it on Vimeo, and post it here, but the file is too big and I do not want to pay for extra storage just yet.
Here is my set up at home. With a laptop in the distance playing movies, not distracting me at all.
